Susan Elaine Smith Honeycutt, 45, of Midland passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in her home. Her funeral service will be 4 PM Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until 3:30 prior to the service.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born December 20, 1969. She is survived by her parents Gareth and Judy McLester Smith of Locust, N.C. She was a graduate of UNCC with a BS in History. She was a Historical Interpreter for Reed Gold Mine and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle, N.C.. Mrs. Honeycutt loved to visit Montreat at Black Mountain, loved her dogs and loved to grow flowers.
Mrs. Honeycutt is survived by her husband Ronald Dale “Ronnie” Honeycutt of the home. Other survivors include a sister Sandie Upchurch and husband Tony of Albemarle, N.C., a nephew Joseph Upchurch of Locust, N.C.
Memorials may be given to Main Street UMC, Albemarle, NC.
