CONCORD - Lewis Eugene Burris, 74, 208 Stonecrest Circle, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at NorthEast Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord with the Rev. Steve Pennington officiating. Burial will be at West Concord Cemetery, Concord.
Mr. Burris was born July 13, 1931, in Cabarrus County the son of the late Cletus Burris and the late Bessie Linker Burris. He was a retired dock worker with Bowman Trucking Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two bothers, Jack Burris and Stewert Burris; and a sister, Garlene Cox.
Survivors include sons, Randy Burris and wife, Paulette and Bernie Burris and wife, Barbara all of Concord; daughters, Dianne Mullis and husband, Ronnie, Teresa Roberts and husband, Ronnie, and Karen Damewood and husband, Mike, all of Concord; brother, Boyce Burris of Concord; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family meeting place will be the home, 208 Stonecrest Circle Concord.
Memorials may be made to Roberta Baptist Church, 3301 Roberta Rd. Concord, NC 28027.
