Beulah Eudy Thompson

Beulah Eudy Thompson, 82, of 32046 Millingport Road, Albemarle, died at 7:48 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Stanly Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral was at 4 p.m. Monday in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The Rev. Sam Wilson and Elder Rommie Williams officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Born July 20, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Crowell Whitley and Mamie Jane Sides Whitley and was a cafeteria worker with the Stanly County Schools. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, riding the lawn mower and watching hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James D. Eudy; a sister, Daisy Thompson; and a brother, Ramon Whitley.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Thompson of Albemarle; two daughters, Beatrice Hudson and Denise Hatley and husband, Dale, all of Albemarle; three sons, Ray Eudy, J.D. Eudy and wife, Sandy, and Dale Eudy and wife, Lorraine, all of Albemarle; five sisters, Rosetta Whitley of Mt. Pleasant, Eva Eudy of Kannapolis, Lottie Hudson of Florence, S.C.. Annie Lee Morgan and Ruby Randall, both of Albemarle; two brothers, J.M. Whitley and Paul Whitley, both of Albemarle; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. At other times they met at the home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County.
