SALISBURY - Perry Herman Lemley, 50, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday (Aug. 9, 2005) after a period of declining health. He was the son of Herman and Jennie Lemley of Salisbury.
Perry attended Rowan Vocational Opportunities and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Rockwell. Perry 's life was centered around his love for the Lord, his family and many friends. He loved attending the workshop and talking with buddies.
Perry never met a stranger and always made others feel loved and appreciated. He loved going to church and listening to Southern gospel music.
Survivors include his loving and devoted parents; sister and brother-in-law Ginger McNally and the Rev. Dave McNally of Winter Haven, Fla.; nieces Jennifer McNally Evans of Lynchburg, Va., and Janette McNally of Winter Haven; and great-nephew Ashton Evans of Lynchburg.
Services : 3 p.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church in Rockwell, with the Rev. John Houghton, pastor, and the Rev. Dave McNally officiating.
Visitation : 7-8:30 tonight at Lyerly Funeral Home.
Memorials : In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 401 Depot St., Rockwell, NC; Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice, 825-A W. Henderson St., Salisbury, NC; or Rowan Vocational Opportunities, 2728 Old Concord Road, Salisbury, NC.
