Frankie Lambert Carriker
MOUNT PLEASANT - Mrs. Frankie Lambert Carriker, 85, of Mount Pleasant, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 19, 2010. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Keith Navey officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Carriker was born on Jan. 7, 1925, in Stanly County to the late William and Essie Mae Barbee Lambert. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Carriker, and eight siblings.
Mrs. Carriker is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Kay C. Kirk and husband, Charlie, of Concord, Mrs. Barbara C. Clay and husband, Donnie, of Concord, and Connie C. Lapish, of Concord; one son, Terry Love and wife, Margie, of Concord; two brothers, J. D. Lambert, of Illinois, and Odell Lambert, of Mount Pleasant; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Carriker will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She was a member of Eva Drive Baptist Church, which she loved attending, especially her adult Sunday school class. Mrs. Carriker retired from Cannon Mills.
Memorials may be made to Eva Drive Baptist Church, Christmas Mission Fund, 2390 Eva Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027, or to the Alzheimer's Association , Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
