Ola Mae Cauble

Ola Mae Cauble, 90, of Salisbury entered the Church Triumphant Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Autumn Care of Salisbury. Mrs. Cauble was born on January 14, 1925 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Jacob Nevin Cauble and Fannie Bame Cauble Miller.

Mrs. Cauble was a 1943 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and had worked at Cannon Mills Plant #7 until retiring in 1951. She was a lifelong member of Union Lutheran Church, a former choir member, had trained acolytes for many years and was a member of the Anna Petrea Union Women. Mrs. Cauble was an avid gardener and cook before her stroke in 2000. She always loved being with family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son John Franklin "Frankie" Cauble, Jr. in 2014 and sisters Elva Kesler, Frances Leazer and Doris Oddie.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John F. Cauble, Sr.; sister, Faye Kesler of Salisbury; daughter-in-law Teresa B. Cauble of Salisbury; 4 grandchildren, Tracey Watson and husband Allen; Deena Mills and friend Frank; Billy Cauble and wife, Casie; Christa Ludwig and husband, William; 8 great grandchildren, Shane Cauble, Joshua Watson, Brittney Mills, Brooklyn Johnson, Brenden Johnson, Harley Cauble, Andrea "Peanut" Cauble and Wesley Ludwig and one great great grandson Branson Cauble.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 9:00 till 10:45 AM Saturday in the fellowship Hall at Union Lutheran Church.

Services: Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday at Union Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Carl Haynes, pastor of Christiana Lutheran Church and Rev. T. C. Plexico, Pastor Emeritus of Union. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Cauble family would like to say a special thanks to Pastor David Nuottila and Autumn Care and their Staff for the loving care given Mrs. Ola Mae.
