Frances Cauble Leazer
SALISBURY - Frances Cauble Leazer, 80, of Peach Orchard Road, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at her home.
Born Feb. 19, 1928, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob N. Cauble and Fannie Bame Cauble Miller. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Boozer Group of WELCA.
Formerly employed by Hoechst-Celanese, Mrs. Leazer retired from the offices of Food Lion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband James E. Leazer, Sr.; son James E. Leazer Jr.; and step-father Jacob Miller.
Survivors include special friend Orville Trexler of Salisbury; daughters Nancy Glenn (Ray), Diane Brandon (Al) and Vickie Prince, all of Salisbury; sisters Elva Kesler, Ola Mae Cauble (John), Faye Kesler (Bob) and Doris Oddie, all of Salisbury; grandchildren Terri Parlier, Cindy Hardin, Jeff Brandon (Denise), Susan McClellan and Michelle Medlin; and six great-grandchildren.
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church conducted by Revs. William Ketchie and Floyd Bost. Interment will follow at Union Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove.
Memorials: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Parish School Fund, 205 St. Paul's Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146; or to Hospice of donor's choice.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, is assisting the Leazer family.
