Bennie Austin Lefler, 74, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury .
He was born May 18, 1946 to Bennie and Ruth Pepper Lefler. He attended the Rowan County Schools. Bennie worked as a Machine Operator for Starratt also known as Carolina Quarries.
In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his Wife, Vivian Lefler, Brothers, Mickey Lefler, Bill Lefler, Jimmy Lefler, Sisters, Dolly Poplin, Dot Gardner, Katherine Brown.
Bennie is survived by his Son, Benny (Paige) Lefler; Daughter, Beth Ousley of China Grove, NC; Three Granddaughters, Vivian Jayde Lefler, Kaydee Alexis Lefler; Brooklyn Grace Buck; Three Grandsons, Jacob Edward Ousley, Spencer Evan Ousley; Brandon Kristian Buck; Brother, Jerry Lefler; Ten Sisters, Rita Kizzah, Donna Shinn, Peggy Beck, Betty Creswell, Pat Goodman, Ruby Lentz, Juanita Overcash, Deanna Upright, Judy Weaver, Frankie Smith; and his Special Friend, Judy Pepper;
The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 30, 2020, in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
