ALBEMARLE - Mrs. Faith Joy Wilson Efird 68, of 616 East Oakwood Avenue, died Tuesday, February 10, 1998 at Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service is 4 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home/Lefler Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Gruver officiating. Interment will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born December 19, 1929 in Durham, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Clinton Wilson and Virgie Ann Smoake Wilson, and married to the late Tom Morris Efird. She was employed with Stanly County Library as a reference librarian.
Survivors include a son, Mr. Tom C. ''Buddy'' Efird of Albemarle; daughter, Mrs. Maris Efird Bunting of Richfield, NC; uncle, Mr. James Fenner Smoake of W. Columbia, SC; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Clinton Efird, Daniel Aaron Efird, Amelia Joy Bunting and Hannah Hill Bunting.
The family will be at the home of 616 East Oakwood Avenue, Albemarle, NC.
Memorials may be sent to Stanly County Library.
