KANNAPOLIS - Mrs. Eva Jane Whitley Eudy, 82, of 214 Forest Pond Road, Kannapolis passed away on Aug. 18, 2010, at Tucker Hospice House.

She was born on March 29, 1928, in Richmond County to the late Samuel Crowell and Mamie Jane Sides Whitley.

A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Roberta Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Steve Pennington and Rev. Sam Wilson officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg.

The family meeting place will be the home.

She is survived by her son, C.L. Eudy, of Stanly County; daughters, Brenda Edington, of Fort Mill, S.C., Joyce Ervin, of Stanley, Judy Dial, of Concord, Frankie DuBose, of Stanley; brother, Paul Whitley, of Albemarle; sister, Ruby Randall, of Albemarle; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Cletus Franklin Eudy; sisters, Rosettia Whitley, Beulah Eudy, Daisy Thompson, Annie Lee Morgan, Lottie Hudson, Lillie Whitley; and two brothers, James and Ramon Whitley. Memorials may be made to Roberta Baptist Church, 3301 Roberta Road, Concord, NC 28027 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Eudy family.
