James Benton "J.B." Edwards 77 of Norwood, died Sunday afternoon, March 28, 2010 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He had suffered from syringomyelia for many years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Aquadale Baptist Church. Rev. Craig Scott and Rev. Sid Martin will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Edwards was born May 18, 1932 in Union County. He was a son of the late Charles Raymond and Vernie Brooks Edwards.
He is survived by his wife Aileen Little Edwards of the home. Two sons, Darrell Edwards of Albemarle and Don Edwards and wife Cheryl of Norwood. Two Grandchildren, Adrienne Edwards of Chapel Hill and Kyle Edwards of Raleigh. Three Brothers, Charles Allen Edwards of Albemarle and Richard Edwards and wife Melanie of Oakboro and Harold Brooks Edwards and wife Janice of Harrisburg and one sister Doris Edwards of Oakboro.
