Pauline Elizabeth Helms Almond
Pauline Elizabeth Helms Almond, 88, of 28826 Flint Ridge Road, Albemarle, died at 4:39 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Albemarle, with a 30-minute state prior to the hour of the service. Elder Rommie Williams, Elder Rom Curlee and Elder David Anderson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation was from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle.
Born Dec. 22, 1919, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late William and Rena Helms. She was a weaver at Cannon Mills and a member of Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
The family will meet at the home of her son, Larry Almond, 22408 Karen Road, Albemarle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Davis Almond, in 1969; a daughter, Eva Mae Almond; grandson, Jeffrey Dale Almond; three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, William D. Almond and wife, Freida, and Larry Wayne Almond and wife, Pat, all of Albemarle; daughter, Margaret (Almond) Herlocker and husband, Jr., of Albemarle; granddaughter, Shannon Tucker; three grandsons, Brian Almond, Wesley Almond and Randy Almond; four granddaughters, Stacey Almond, Tonya Creel, Angie Pugh and Krystal Carriker; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
