Ethel Lucille White Drye
Ethel Lucille White Drye, age 93 of 1445 Midway Rd., Stony Point, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Iredell Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was born April 1, 1913 in Iredell County, daughter of the late James Ransom White and Mary Elizabeth Brown White. She was a home maker, member of the home demonstration club and a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Drye, a son Phillip Gordon Drye, two brothers James and Robert White and a sister Rachel Jordan and a great grandchild, Jessica Crawford.
She is survived by one son Jerry Drye of Stony Point, one daughter Betty Drye Crawford of Statesville, three grandchildren Teresa Deal, Tina Franklin and Billy Crawford and nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 3:00PM at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert Harrison will officiate. Burial will follow in Midway United Methodist church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral.
