Rachel Irene Eudy Page, 84, of 515 Lake Concord Road, Concord, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Avante' at Concord, Concord. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Wednesday evening. Her graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle. The Rev. Joe Smith will officiate.
Born July 17, 1924, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late William Riley and Dovie Loretta Goodman Eudy. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Company and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She was married to the late Floyd Jackson Page, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 22, 2006. A daughter, Frances Lorraine Froleich also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, John William Archer of Elyria, Ohio and Floyd Jackson Page, Jr. of Harlem, Ga.; two daughters, Janette Page Yarborough of Cherryville and Lynn Page Thompson of Albemarle; a brother, Charlie Eudy of Albemarle; a sister, Ruth Whitley of Albemarle; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to: Breast Cancer Research, American Cancer Society.
