Mrs. Reba "Gaye" Sides Hatley, age 93, of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 1st, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, NC. Her family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday evening at Stanly Funeral Home and her funeral will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012, at Salem United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church's Cemetery.
Born July 4th, 1918 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Hatley was the daughter of the late Jasper and Emma Mauldin Sides. She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. with over 40 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Jennings Hatley. She is survived by two sons, Tim Hatley and wife Lisa of Albemarle, NC and Ronnie Hatley and wife Janet of Albemarle, NC; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to Salem UMC, NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle.
