GOLD HILL - Swannie Bennett Trexler, 93, of Gold Hill, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

Born Jan. 30, 1913, in Chatham County, Mrs. Trexler was the daughter of the late Jack Bennett and Ella Blackard Bennett. She attended Chatham County schools and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Eicie Earnhardt Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.

Mrs. Trexler was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Alex Trexler, on March 9, 1977, and a son, Bud Trexler, in 1982.

Survivors include sons Jack William Trexler of Clemmons and Joe B. Trexler and Donnie Eugene Trexler, both of Gold Hill; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell conducted by the Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor.

Visitation: 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of a son, Joe Trexler of Gold Hill. For those not able to attend the funeral and visitation, Mrs. Trexler will be at Powles Funeral Home from 8-11:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.
