Pegge Peacock Shaver

SALISBURY - Pegge Peacock Shaver, 70, of Salisbury, went home to be with her heavenly father and to be reunited with the love of her life, Bob on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis.

Born December 26, 1938, in Rowan County, she was daughter of the late Fred R. and Helen Wagner Peacock. Mrs. Shaver graduated from Spencer High School in 1957. Although having worked in various fields, her main focus was serving and caring for her family.

Mrs. Shaver was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church, Kannapolis and past member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was formerly a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she was a choir member and Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert Daniel Shaver Jr. on April 18, 2005.

Survivors include daughters, Lisa Williams of Salisbury, Sandra and Ken Stamey of China Grove and Beth and Herb Mynatt of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Phil and Myrtle Peacock of Salisbury and Steve and Thesie Peacock of Douglasville, Ga.; grandchildren; Kendra and Collin Stamey; nieces; and a nephew.

Service: Graveside Service 3 p.m. Thursday at Old Historic National Cemetery with Revs. Steve Sexton, Joe Harding Jr. and Spencer Swain officiating.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove. Remainder of the time, the family will be at the home of daughter Sandra Stamey, 9855 Old Concord Road.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House % Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or Rowan Regional Hospice, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
