John Clement Eagle

John Clement Eagle "J.C.", 90, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Novant Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC.

He was born August 3, 1930 in, NC to the late Gaither and Johnsie Gullett Eagle. John was a graduate of Spencer High School and Salisbury Business College. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where he was a past Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, and was active with the NC Baptist Men going on mission trips. John was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a past member of the Salisbury Kiwanis. John worked for Southern Railroad and retired from Rowan Business Forms and Reynolds and Reynolds Corporation.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Ann Gantt Eagle; brother, Herman Eagle.

John is survived by his sons, John Scott Eagle and wife Paula of Faith, and Chris Stewart Eagle of Salisbury; daughter, Ann Eagle Brady and husband Eric of Salisbury; granddaughters, Paige Eagle, and Kristen Brady; grandsons, Dylan Eagle and wife Celeste, and Ryan Brady; great-granddaughter, Noelle Lucille Eagle.

Due to COVID-19, no formal visitation is planned. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2:00pm at Faith Baptist Church, Faith, NC, conducted by Rev. Stephen Dewalt and Pastor Dylan Eagle. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:00pm. Following the funeral, burial services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Novant Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House and the NC State Veterans Home for their love, care and support.
