SALISBURY - Dwight Lyman Hall, 68, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 20, 1941, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Cornelia Poole Hall and Fred Hall.
A long-time member of Faith Baptist Church, Mr. Hall worked as an insurance salesman. He was also a Shriner and member of Keller Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Holshouser Hall, whom he married Dec. 23, 1960; son Dwight A. Hall (Barbara) of Rockwell; daughters Casie Hall of the home (fiancé Michael Hamilton); Julie Williams (Carmen) of Gold Hill, Angela Sifford (Derek) of Salisbury; brothers David Poole of Mount Airy, Bill Poole of Springfield, Va., Bob Poole of Salisbury; and three grandchildren, Matt Hall, Megan Petrea and Logan Williams.
Visitation/Service: Visitation is 3-4 p.m. Sunday, July 12 at Lyerly Funeral Home. The service will follow at 4 p.m. in the James C. Lyerly Chapel with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by Keller Masonic Lodge.
