Carl Linus Efird
Carl Linus Efird, went to be with his Lord at the age of 80 on March 17, 2011.
He was born in Stanly County on June 10, 1930 to the late Winfred and Zora Efird. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Efird and Ondrie Efird; and sisters, Dolena Scott and Vergie Mae Cooper.
During his life, Mr. Efird worked for Collins & Aikman and Firestone. He retired as a truck driver from A.L. Lowder, Inc.
Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Lusk Efird of the home; daughters, Teresa McPherson and husband Billy of Albemarle, Carleen Clark and husband Don of Oakboro, Robin Clark and husband Marty of Albemarle, Freda Huneycutt and husband William of Albemarle; sons, Jeff Efird and wife Marisa of Albemarle, Rodney Efird and wife Vicki of Norwood; daughter, Pam Vanhoy of Albemarle; brother, Tony Efird and wife Ruth of Albemarle; sister, Rozena Tucker of Albemarle; seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Martin Lutheran Church, or to Stanly County DAV.
