Betty Jane Honeycutt Almond, 77, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

Born on May 26, 1933 in Cabarrus County to the late Alexander Fetzer and Mamie Parnell Honeycutt. Also preceded in death by her husband Bradford Lee Almond.

Betty was an avid antiques collector, and was of the Baptist faith.

There will be no formal visitation, however friends and family may come by Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 8:30 until 10:00 AM to pay their respects.

Graveside services will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11 AM, with the Rev. Jim Griggs officiating and Mr. David Simpson assisting. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 AM on Thursday.

Survived by: sons, David Lee Almond of Kannapolis, Johnny Dale Almond of Concord, Curtis Franklin Almond of Kannapolis, and Bradly Joseph "Joey" Almond of Salisbury; daughter, Betty Joyce Stokes of W. VA; sisters, Mady Benfield of Mt. Pleasant, and Nancy Barbee of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church 526 Wright Avenue Kannapolis, NC 28083.
