Albert Ray Kepley
Albert Ray Kepley, 85, of Lachine passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Albert was born on October 30, 1931 in Salisbury, N.C. to the late Joseph and Anne (Eagle) Kepley. He joined the United States Airforce during the Korean War where he served for 8 years. Returning he joined the Teamsters and drove truck for 33 years. He met and on June 26, 1965 he married Carol Stoddard and together they settled in Michigan for the remainder of his life. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2010. Following his retirement, he enjoyed tinkering around the house and watching the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are his 2 daughters, Keri (Greg) Skiba of Holt, Keeley (Brian) Knapp of Alpena; 4 grandchildren, Dustin (Hailey) Black, Brianne Knapp, Henry and Caroline Skiba; 2 great grandchildren, Henry and Isla Black; brother, Jerry (Pat) Kepley; a sister, Hilda Gobble; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kepley was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joe and Gene.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
Inurnment: Spratt Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to MidMichigan Medical Center – Cancer Center or The Ronald McDonald Charities.
