Betty Catherine Oddie Cauble

ROCKWELL - Mrs. Betty Catherine Oddie Cauble, 81 of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her residence.

Born Aug. 3, 1929 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Willie O. Oddie and Ethel Earnhardt Oddie. She was a 1947 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and was retired from the retail store of Rowan Industries.

Mrs. Cauble was a life member of Union Lutheran Church, a member of the Carrie Trexler Group of Union Women, a member of the choir for 60 years and she led the junior choir for many years, a member of Singing Seniors and also the Powles Funeral Home TLC Group.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Cauble who passed away May 26, 1999.

She is survived by her son, Charles William Cauble of Salisbury; and grandchildren, Scott Cauble and wife Nancy of Sneeds Ferry, Jeff Cauble and wife Deatrice of Salisbury, and Andy Cauble and wife Dana of Frankfort, Germany.

Funeral Services: Will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at Union Lutheran Church in Salisbury, conducted by Rev. T.C. Plexico, Interim Pastor, Rev. Jared Lanning and her three grandsons. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 6-8 p.m.. The family will be at the home of her son, Charles Cauble the remainder of the time.

Memorials: May be sent to Union Lutheran Church, Organ Fund, 4770 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146 or to the donors choice.

Powles Funeral Home is assisting the Cauble family.
