GRANITE QUARRY - Susan Lynne Cauble, 51, formerly of Granite Quarry, died July 10 in Roanoke, Va.
Lynne was born in Rowan County, a daughter of the late L. Ray and Della Powlas Cauble. She attended Granite Quarry Elementary School and Erwin Middle School, and graduated from East Rowan High School in 1973.
Lynne received a diploma from King's College, Charlotte, and then attended nursing classes at Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke, Va., and dietetic classes at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va. Lynne received a BS in Foods & Nutrition and Food Service Management with a Minor in Chemistry from Radford University, Radford, Va.
For most of her career, Lynne worked as a Registered Dietitian either in Roanoke, Va., or in Carolina Beach. Earlier, Lynne was a real estate agent in Roanoke, Va., and worked in guest relations for a hotel in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In addition to her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by brother; Ray Edward Cauble of Granite Quarry, and sister, Carolyn C. White of Winston-Salem, NC
Survivors include daughter Susan Michelle Crowell of Wilmington; and brother James N. Cauble of Houston, Texas.
Visitation: The family will be at Christiana Lutheran Church from 10-11 am Thursday.
Services: Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday at Christiana Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Cauble (Lynne's nephew) and the Rev. Carl P. Haynes, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
