Mary Cauble Davis
SALISBURY - Mary Jones Cauble Davis, 78, formerly of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at Carillon Assisted Living of Newton.
Mary was born April 29, 1935 in Surry County, the daughter of the late Fred Jones and Etta Johnson Jones. She was a graduate of Boyden High School and a member of Christiana Lutheran Church. Mary had retired from Carolina Maid as a seamstress. She enjoyed baking, cross stitch, sewing, working in the yard, and growing flowers. Mary was a people person and enjoyed caring for others and her family. She always put others ahead of herself; her family was most important to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Edward Cauble; second husband, Edwin L. Davis; sister, Loraine Harkey; and brothers, Calvin Jones and Billy Jones.
Survivors include her sons, Dale Cauble and wife Kathleen of Advance and Rev. Randall Cauble and wife Vicki of Newton; brother, Robert Jones of Amelia, Va.; grandchildren, Nathaniel Cauble, Lynsay Barnes and husband Lonnie, Bryttani Cauble, Jacob Cauble and Luke Cauble; great-grandson, Maddux Barnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 at Christiana Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Carl Haynes, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Christiana Lutheran Church, 6190 US Hwy 52, Salisbury, NC 28146.
