Nell Goodman Bryant Hinson

ROCKWELL - Nell Goodman Bryant Hinson, 66, of Rockwell, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Mrs. Hinson was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Mr. Roy L. Goodman and Mrs. Mable G. Goodman. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools.

Mrs. Hinson was a CNA and a private care giver and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano and gardening.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Marion Jackson Bryant, sons, Timothy Bryant and Eddie Bryant.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her fiance, Mr. Steve Brent Stroup; sons Mr. Jackie Linn Bryant and wife Karen of Johnson City, Tenn., Mr. Glenn (Shag) Marion Bryant of Rockwell and Mr. Dusty Bryant and wife Carla; daughters Ms. Shannon Earnhardt and boyfriend Buzzy of Rockwell and Ms. Suzanne Sain; stepdaughters Julie Stroup, Jennifer Kincaid and Sherri Stroup; brothers Mr. Ben Goodman and wife Norma Jean of Rockwell, Mr. Jim Goodman and wife Shirley of Rockwell, Mr. Gwynn Goodman and wife Linda of Rockwell; grandchildren Catherine Bryant, Christy Rose, Samantha Kesler, Derryck Kesler, Cassie Kesler and Maranda Kesler; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Service: The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church fellowship hall.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powles Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Rockwell, NC 28138, to help with funeral expenses.
