Charlie M. Holshouser

SALISBURY - Charlie Marshall Holshouser, 58, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, due to an automobile accident.

Mr. Holshouser was born March 24, 1948, in Rowan County, a son of the late Clay James Holshouser and Oveda Jackson Holshouser. He was educated in Rowan County schools and had worked for Cannon Mills. He was employed with Gamewell Manufacturing as a pipe fitter.

Charlie was a member of the Rock Grove United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Brenda McLamb Holshouser, whom he married Nov. 26, 1992; son Chad Holshouser of Rockwell; stepsons Danny Harrington of Davidson and Chad Harrington of Salisbury; grandchildren Austin, Dylan and Evan Harrington; brothers Jake Holshouser of Faith, Kenneth Holshouser of China Grove, Bobby Holshouser of Salem, Va., Terry, Buck, Bill and Troy Holshouser, all of Salisbury; and sisters Mary Carriker, Louise Johnson, Annie Mae Johnson, all of Salisbury, and Doris Burris of Kannapolis.

Service: The funeral was held Friday at Rock Grove United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Randy Lucas, pastor, and the Rev. Billy Ervin, former pastor. Entombment was at Brookhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Military graveside rites were conducted by the Rowan County Honor Guard.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the residence.

Memorials: Rock Grove United Methodist Church, Youth and Senior Youth.
