Thursday, May 28, 2009 — Elizabeth Eudy Furr, 80, of 107 Danita Drive, Locust, died at 11:52 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Rommie Williams, Elder David Anderson, Elder Larry Austin and grandson Trent Yow officiating. Burial will be in Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Locust.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Hartsell Funeral Home-Midland. The family meeting place is at her home.

Born June 6, 1928, in Stanfield, Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Lectie Jane (Huneycutt) Eudy and worked in the printing department of Allison Manufacturing. She was a member of Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis Eudy and Jessie Eudy, and two sisters, Estelle Whitley and Mattie Bell Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Furr of Locust; a son, Ranny Gene “Runt” Furr and wife, Nancy, of New London; three daughters, Blinda Hartsell and husband, Jimmie, of Locust, Joyce Harris and husband, Ronnie, of Ridgecrest, and Vicky Yow and husband, Terriell, of Stanfield; two brothers, Henry Eudy and wife, Nell, of New London and Ernest Eudy and wife, Betty, of Locust; four sisters, Gertie Almond, Scenie Hunter and Ann Jean Page and husband, Lee Roy, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Peggy Hartsell and husband, J.D. of Locust; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to: Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, Kannapolis, NC.
