Daisy Myrtle Earnhardt

GOLD HILL - Mrs. Daisy Myrtle Earnhardt, 92, of Gold Hill, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Earnhardt was born on June 30, 1921 in Rowan County daughter of the late Henry Morgan and Fannie Troutman Morgan.

Mrs. Earnhardt attended the Rowan County Schools, retired from China Grove Cotton Mill as a Spinner, volunteered at Nazareth Childrens Home for many years and loved gardening, crocheting, quilting, canning and flowers.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Marshall Earnhardt whom passed away in 1987, son Robert Joe Earnhardt, and grandsons Perry Peeler and Byron Hedenskog.

She is survived by children, Josephine Peeler of Salisbury, Rachel Welborn of Greensboro, John Earnhardt and wife Donna of Monroe, David Earnhardt and wife Teresa of Rockwell, Randy Earnhardt of Gold Hill and Cathy West and husband Larry of Mocksville; brother Ralph Morgan of Salisbury; sisters Ruth Turner of Albemarle, Betty Morton of Rockwell, Mary Eudy of Charlotte, Pearlie Carver of Albemarle and 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 from 10-11 a.m.

The funeral service will be at Powles Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. conducted by Dr. Rev. Benny Vickrey. Burial will follow at Luther's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Luther's Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 4955 Richfield Road, Richfield, NC.
