SALISBURY - Ms. Wendy Michelle Drye, 44, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
She was born Sept. 15, 1970, in Rowan County to Claude and Nancy Coppley Drye.
Wendy attended North Mecklenburg Senior High School, Central Piedmont Community College, UNC-Charlotte, and received her Masters Degree from University of Phoenix. Wendy was a former instructor at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and was a member at Hopewell Baptist Church in Davidson.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Sherry Kluttz and husband Joe; and two nephews, Brian Kluttz and Noah Drye.
Service: There will be a memorial service held Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Mike Motley, pastor of Trading Ford Baptist Church and Rev. Charlie Curtis, pastor of Liberty United Methodist Church.
A private family burial will be held at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Davie County, 291 Eaton Road, Mocksville, NC.
Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the family of Ms. Drye.
