Elsie Boger Shaver
Elsie Boger Shaver, age 94, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, September 19, at The Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks of Salisbury.
Mrs. Shaver was born in Rowan County the daughter of the late Maggie Miller Boger and Martin Luther Boger. She attended Rowan County Schools and worked with her husband at the service stations in Liberty and Carolina Beach. Elsie was a member of St. Luke's Reformed Church, Adult Sunday School Church, life member of the Woman's Fellowship and a member of the Choir. She was active at Rufty Holmes Senior Citizen Center.
Preceding her in death was her husband Irving Vance Shaver on February 23, 1986. Brothers Walter, John, Luther, James, Paul, and Ray precede her in death.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son Rodney I. Shaver of Charlotte; daughters Betty Lou Weant of Salisbury, and Rebecca Sutaris of Raleigh, sister, Maude B. Hill of Gold Hill; grandchildren, Michael Shaver and Misty Rosenbaum, and great grandchild, Lilli Rosenbaum.
Visitation: 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, in the Fellowship Hall of St. Luke's Reformed Church
Funeral Service: 3:00 PM Tuesday Sept. 22, 2015 at St. Luke's Reformed Church, Salisbury, conducted by Rev. Jonathan Schell, pastor. Burial to follow at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gold Hill.
The family would like to thank Trinity Oaks Management and Staff and Hospice for their loving care and support.
