MT. ULLA - James Lee Miller, 77, of Mt. Ulla, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Brian Center in Salisbury.
He was born on May 9, 1934 in Rowan County, to the late Jacob and Nancy Edith Kluttz Miller. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired machinist and loved to farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucy Miller.
He is survived by his children, Curtis Miller and wife, Pam, Brenda Vernon and husband, Beau, Patricia Williams and husband, Michael, Melody Towell and husband, Ronnie; sister, Nancy Harris; grandchildren, April, Michelle, Ginger, Chris, Crystal, William, Sherri, Anthony; and great grandchildren, Peyton, Noah, Linden, Cassie, Brandon, Blake, Brandie, Shawn, Andrew, Jeffrey, and Jordan.
Visitation and Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Connelly officiating. Burial will follow the service at Salisbury National Cemetery at 1 p.m..
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
