Hilda Jean Furr Blalock
Hilda Jean Furr Blalock, 78, of Albemarle passed away Tuesday September 10, 2014 in her home. Her funeral will be 11 AM Friday September 12, 2014 at Mt. View Baptist Church with Rev. Don Crusenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mt. View church from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the funeral service.
Born August 25, 1936 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Carl Furr and Nola Burris Furr and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband William Frank Blalock, Jr. of the home. Other survivors include sons Douglas Frank Blalock and wife Kathy, Rodney Dale Blalock and wife Mary and Billy Gene Blalock and wife Kimberly, all of Albemarle, brothers Cecil Furr, Gerald Furr and Terry Furr all of Albemarle, and sisters Janice Efird and Wanda Lowder all of Albemarle, as well as 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
