Annie Peeler

Annie L Peeler, 81 of Salisbury passed away on October 22, 2015 at The Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks. Mrs. Peeler was born July 18, 1934 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Adam Monroe Lyerly and Nannie Ila Safrit Lyerly.

Mrs. Peeler was a 1952 graduate of Rockwell High School and had retired from First Union National Bank where she was a Teller. She was a member of St. Luke's Reformed Church. She enjoyed reading, bird watching from her back porch swing. She also enjoyed going on cruises and spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Claude E. Lyerly, Hoy W. Lyerly, Lewis R. Lyerly and sisters, Edith Lyerly, Mary Helen Sinclair, Julia I. Bagwell and Mable Ruth Lyerly.

Mrs. Peeler is survived by her husband Alvin Arnold Peeler, whom she married September 6, 1953, daughters Tanya Canup and husband Terry of Charleston, SC, Trisha Ritchie and husband Robert of Landis, NC, granddaughters Erin Webb and husband Michael of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Emily Brunner and husband Chuck of Summerville, SC and Elizabeth "Libby" Canup of San Francisco, CA.

She is also survived by great grandchildren Aiden Webb, Cody Brunner, Cade Brunner and Cameron Brunner and also by her brother Ralph Lyerly. And also many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside services at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26 at 1:00 PM at St. Lukes Reformed Church, conducted by Rev. Jon Schell, Pastor.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to Nazareth Childrens Home, or to St. Lukes Reformed Church.
