Peggy Bogle Lingle

CROWNSVILLE, Md. - Peggy Bogle Lingle, 68, of Crownsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. She had renewed her marriage vows with her husband of 48 years the previous day.

Born May 2, 1937, in Salisbury, N.C., Mrs. Lingle was the daughter of the late James M. and Blanche K. Bogle of Salisbury. She graduated from Granite Quarry High School in 1955 and on Dec. 20, 1957, married Douglas E. Lingle of Faith, N.C.

She was a Red Cross volunteer and served as a dental assistant while her husband served in the Army at White Sands Missile Range. The Lingles moved to Maryland in 1963, settling in Bowie in 1964, where they resided for 33 years. In 1971, she began teaching elementary classes in Prince George 's County School System. For 25 years she demonstrated her versatility, earning her teaching certificate equivalence in 1983. Mrs. Lingle was a longstanding member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Bowie, being involved on various committees and in many church activities.

Survivors include husband Douglas Lingle; brother and sister-in-law James T. and Kathryn B. Bogle of Millersville; son and daughter-in-law Stanley E. and Laura Lingle of Columbia; daughter and son-in-law Jami and David Earnest of Crownsville; grandchildren Alex Lingle and Lake and Kylee Earnest; and numerous relatives in the Salisbury area.

Service and visitation : Memorial, today, 10 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church.
