Phyllis Brown Robinson

Phyllis Brown Robinson, 81, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

She was born September 1, 1937, in Salisbury to the late Ralph and Iva Sills Brown. Mrs. Robinson was a 1955 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. After marrying her husband Robbie on June 9, 1957, they were stationed throughout the United States with his service in the U.S. Air Force, living in Colorado and Texas before returning to North Carolina. Mrs. Robinson worked as an Admissions Clerk and then Admissions Supervisor for Denver General Hospital in Denver, CO and retired from the City of Salisbury Sewer and Water Division where she was an Administrative Professional. She then worked for the Rowan County Sheriff's Office in Conceal Carry Permits and Payroll.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of Christiana Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Peggy Boggs Sunday School Class and Sister Lucille Group. She loved traveling on cruises, reading, and working puzzles. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Nathan Robinson, Blake Robinson, and Ryan Robinson.

She is survived by her husband Riley "Robbie" Vester Robinson, Jr., children, Gregory Lynn Robinson and wife, Teri, of Gold Hill, Joel Bradley Robinson of Salisbury, and Laurie Robinson Ritchie and husband, Cameron, of Salisbury, brother, Randy Brown and wife, Linda, of Salisbury, four grandchildren, Morgan Barnes, Laura Ritchie, Cristin Smith and husband, Devin, and Cody Robinson, and five great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, January 25, 2019, 10:00-10:45 AM at Christiana Lutheran Church.

The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 25, at Christiana Lutheran Church, with Rev. Carl Haynes officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christiana Lutheran Church Brighten the Beacon Campaign.
