RICHFIELD - Mrs. Naomi Kesler Kirk, 92, of Richfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Naomi was born Aug. 4, 1919, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late David M. Kesler and Nancy Jane Frick Kesler.
Naomi was a 1937 graduate of Granite Quarry High School and a member of Luther's Lutheran Church, Richfield. She had worked for S.H. Kress during World War II and was a homemaker after being married. She loved her family very much.
In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her son, Tony "Dale" Kirk, on Sept. 15, 2005; her husband, Tony "Jack" Kirk, on Feb. 14, 2009; brothers Marvin, Crawford, Carl and Melvin Kesler; sisters Stella Honbarrier, Buna Lingle and Sadie Morgan.
Survivors include sons Darrell "Pete'" Kirk and wife Barbara of Salisbury, Dean Kirk and wife Amy of Richfield; daughter-in-law Judy Russell Kirk of Salisbury; grandchildren Todd Kirk, Clay Kirk, Kayla Kirk and Taylor Kirk; great-grandchildren Wyatt Kirk and Cynthia Kirk; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Luther's Lutheran Church, Richfield, conducted by Rev. Tommy Beaver. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials: Luther's Lutheran Church, Cemetery Trust Fund.
