Notes for Nancy Jo Miller
Nancy Jo Miller Holler

Nancy Jo Miller Holler, 84, of Salisbury passed away August 28, 2016 at Alston Brook Nursing Center in Lexington.

Born October 13, 1931 in Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Paul Wilburn Miller and Marion McCraw Miller.

She attended the Art Institute of Virginia and was a self-employed commercial artist and homemaker. She did art and design work for Granite Knitwear, Belk, and Oestreicher. During the war she was employed with the Navy Map Company in Washington DC.

Jo lived and raised her family in Salisbury. She also lived in Black Mountain for several years.

She loved nature and animals which was reflected in her art.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Moffitt Kell Holler.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Kay Sitterson of Faith, Jim Holler of Boone, Barbara Holler of Salisbury and Paula Holler of Florida; grandchildren Phillip Ridenhour and Jan Sitterson; and a step-sister Jane Carroway of SC.

We are very grateful for the wonderful care she was given by the nurses and staff at Alston Brook, Lexington where she lived for over ten years.
