Odessa Bracken Frick
Odessa Bracken Frick, 83, Salisbury, died Tuesday (July 2, 2002) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 9, 1919, in Davie County, Mrs. Frick was a daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Edwards Bracken. She was a graduate of Boyden High School and had been a private duty nurse.
A member of Union Lutheran Church, she was in the Catherine Mahaley Sunday School Class, Anna Petrea WELCA and Goodtimers Senior Citizen Group. She was a former member of the Adult Bell Choir.
Her husband,Herman Frick, died Dec. 22, 1971.
Survivors include son Charles W. Frick, Salisbury; daughter Mary Elizabeth Earnhardt, Salisbury; sister Marian White, Kannapolis; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Union Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Darrell Norris. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Powles Funeral Home,Rockwell. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
Memorials: Union Lutheran Church, Organ Fund, 4770 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
