Zarah Holler Gardner

Zarah Holler Gardner, 96, of Faith, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. 

She was born September 10, 1921, in Rowan County to the late John and Minnie Kluttz Holler. Mrs. Gardner was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School and a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church where she was a member of the Annie Mae Goodwin Sunday School Class, active in the Senior Choir, the WMU, and assisted in the nursery and other activities.

A member of the Rockwell Chapter No. 317 Eastern Star, she enjoyed working in her yard, tending her flowers, and traveling to the beach to fish at the coast.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1944, Duard Linn Gardner, Sr.; brothers, Kell Holler, Bill Holler, and Earl Holler; sisters, Izetta Lingle, Alice Ludwick, and Doris Brown.

She is survived by her three sons, Linn Gardner of Faith, Dales Gardner and wife, Brenda, of Faith, and Eric Gardner and wife, Sharon, of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Jason Gardner and wife, Nicole, of Salisbury, Robert Gardner and wife, Katie, of Salisbury, Samantha Allen and husband, Dwight, of Salisbury, Randall Gardner and wife, Ashtyn, of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Dales, Amelia, Charlie, and Levi Gardner.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery, Faith, NC, with Rev. Mike Shoaf, officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside following the service.

Memorials may be made to Building Fund at Faith Baptist Church, Faith, NC.
