Hazel Ruth Brady Earnhardt
Hazel Ruth Brady Earnhardt, 91, of Salisbury passed away peacefully Friday, September 25, 2015 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Rowan County on July 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Maggie Lee Goodman and Joseph A. Brady.
Ms. Earnhardt worked as a seamstress for Carolina Maid for 49 years. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, the WELCA, and the Quilting Class. She was also active at the East Rowan YMCA, especially in water aerobics.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Greg Earnhardt; her brother, Herman Brady; brother-in-law John Earnhardt; and sisters-in-law Estelle Brady and Virginia Earnhardt.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda Anderson (Robert) of Salisbury, Bobbie Earnhardt of Salisbury; grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Anderson and fiancée Amanda Vaughn, Amy Ellen Shellhorn (Doug), Darren Lee Earnhardt (Heather), Shane Michael Earnhardt (Manalle); great-grandchildren, Walker, Blaine and Faye Carol Shellhorn, Makenzie, Maddox, Braxton and Cooper Earnhardt.
Visitation: 1:00-2:15 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 701 E. LaFayette St., Salisbury, NC.
Service: 2:30 PM Sunday at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Safrit officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
