Alvin David Speights, Jr., 71, of Albemarle passed away on December 31, 2023 in Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. His funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2023 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Monty Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born June 27, 1952 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late Alvin David “A. D.” Speights Sr. and Eunice Austin Speights Swaringen. He was retired from the textile industry and a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force.
Alvin was preceded in death by his wife Patsy in 2022.
Survivors include aunts Sylvia Smith (Bill) of Albemarle and Maxine Underwood of Albemarle, stepsons Tony Biggers (Rosario Ramirez) of Albemarle NC and Ronnie Biggers (Traci) of Norwood NC, and four step grandchildren Taylor Biggers, Tristin Biggers, Keely Beachum and Keigan Beachum.
