North Wilkesboro - Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Miller Pennell, age 87, widow of Glenn Pennell of Speedway Road, North Wilkesboro, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Britthaven of Wilkesboro. Mrs. Pennell was born October 17, 1918 in Wilkes County to R.C. and Gladys Mastin Miller. She was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Jerry Pennell and wife Dee of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 o'clock Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Miller Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Poole officiating. Burial will be at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemtery. The family will be at Miller Funeral Service from 10:00 until 11:00 on Thursday prior to the service.
