Margie Virginia Shaver Culp
Margie Virginia Shaver Culp, 76, of Norwood, passed away early Thursday morning, March 9, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Silver Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Little will officiate and interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Albemarle. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until 2:00PM at the church.
Mrs. Culp was born October 24, 1940 in Stanly County to the late Lonnie Green and Lular Lefler Shaver. She was a 1958 graduate of Aquadale High School and attended Peachland Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was a retired secretary having worked for Norwood Stockyard and Lee’s Mobile Homes. Her greatest joy in life came from loving and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Autry Culp and children, Sharon Jean Culp and Jeffrey Lamar Culp; two brothers, George “Buck” Shaver and Buddy Shaver.
She is survived by son, Robert Culp of Norwood; daughter Belinda Little and husband, Mark of Norwood; six grandchildren, Kristen Culp, Kimberly Efird, Brian Little, Ashley Stiller, Michael Culp and Lisa Culp; eight great-grandchildren.
