ROCKWELL - Carl Junior Yost, 84, of Rockwell, passed away June 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1929, in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Carl Monroe Yost and Onie Troutman Yost. He was employed by China Grove Textiles as a supervisor until retirement.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Rockwell, where he taught Sunday School for many years.
He loved nature and enjoyed working in his garden; but more importantly, he loved the Lord and his family.
A sister, Helen Parks, preceded him in death.
Those left behind to cherish his wonderful memory are his wife of 65 years, Mildred Taylor Yost, who he married July 3, 1948; a son, Roger Yost (Karen) of Rockwell; daughter Linda Yost Lewis (Ronnie) of Salisbury; brothers Brady Yost and Harold Yost of Salisbury, Paul Yost of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Voncille Craig of Salisbury, Dot Goodman and Frances Crisco of Concord. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church, Rockwell, with the Rev. Ken Prater and Rev. John Houghton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the service with burial at Westlawn Cemetery.
Memorials: May be made to Rockwell Christian School.
