Katie Sue Holshouser Morgan

Katie Sue Holshouser Morgan, 85, of Salisbury, passed away, June 30, 2012 at her residence. 

Katie was the youngest of nine children of Luther Alexander Holshouser and Sally Rainey Holshouser. 

Preceding her in death were her parents and seven brothers and sisters. 

Katie was a life long resident of Salisbury and a member of United Church of Christ. Katie worked at Western Union Telegraph Co., and retired from the Rowan County School system. 

Survivors include her husband Robert L. Morgan, Jr. whom she was married to for 65 years; sons, John Morgan (Beth) of Greensboro, Alan Morgan of Salisbury and Steve Morgan (Sharon) of. Asheboro; brother, Dwight Holshouser (Edith) of Greensboro; three grand children of whom she was very proud; Rob Morgan (Meghan) of Wilmington, Shane and Christian Morgan of Asheboro, and two very special great-grandsons, Mason and Perter Morgan of Wilmington, and numerous nieces and nephews 

Visitation: 9:30-10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 3, at United Church of Christ, Fellowship Hall . 207 West Horah Street, Salisbury, NC 

Funeral: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, at United Church of Christ. 207 West Horah Street, Salisbury, NC, with the Rev. Marcella Morton presiding. Burial will follow at City Memorial Park. 

Memorials: Rowan County Hospice, 512 Klumac Road, Salisbury, The United Church Christ Organ Fund , 2400 Old Salisbury-Concord Rd., Salisbury. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Rowan county Hospice for the wonderful care and attention Katie received during he final weeks at home.
