Charlotte Fricks Weldon Christopher

Mrs. Charlotte Fricks Weldon Christopher, of Hiram, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the age of 87, after an extended illness.

Charlotte was a long time Cobb County resident. She attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and graduated from Sprayberry High School. She was a Proud mother of 4 while working at Kennestone hospital. Later she happily retired from Marietta Police Department in 2002. She loved her family and adored her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She played Bingo just to be with her Sisters. She also loved her MPD family. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

She was predeceased by her parents, William Dean Fricks, Sr. and Martha Coleman Fricks, her sister, Vera Fricks Burrell (Jesse), her brother, William Dean Fricks,Jr., (Betty Anne), and her brother Garrison Fricks. Charlotte will be lovingly remembered by her sister Janice Fricks Nowell and her children, Lynn Graham (Harold), Thomas Weldon (Dottie), Victoria Weldon (Richard) and Tim Weldon (Susan), and her 6 grandchildren: Tanya Gordon (David), Elizabeth Shelnutt (Wes), Brittany Castleberry (Joseph), Amanda Mcmillian (Andrew), Valerie Weldon and Elizabeth Weldon and 8 great grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews and many friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10th, from 4pm until 6pm at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home - 180 Church St NE, Marietta, GA 30060. The Funeral Service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 4495 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, Thursday, May 11, at 10am. Pastor Jimmy Hood will officiate. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dove release by Nancy Kay Duncan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Good Mews Animal Foundation.
