Cletus Lester "Bud" Ridenhour

Cletus Lester “Bud” Ridenhour, 85, of Richfield, NC, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at his home. His funeral service will be 11am Friday, July 21, 2023 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel of Albemarle with Pastor Ron Loflin officiating. Military Honors will take place prior to the service. There will be no formal visitation.

Bud was born October 28, 1937 in Stanly County, NC to the late Cletus Thomas Ridenhour and Onnie Furr Ridenhour. He was a member of New Bethel Lutheran Church. Mr. Ridenhour loved to dance, hunt and fish. He was a collector of bottles and antiques. Bud was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany.

He is survived by a son, Lester Ridenhour (Paula) of Richfield, NC; a brother, Tony Ridenhour (Janice) of Albemarle, NC; a sister, Dianne Winfree of Richfield, NC; a granddaughter, Megan Sewell (Matt) of Wilmington, NC and two great-grandsons, Knox and Beck Sewell of Wilmington, NC. Bud was also preceded in death by five sisters, Patricia Ridenhour, Geneva Glover, Viola Grover, Ruby Hutchens and Betty Russell and two brothers, Hoyle Ridenhour and Ralph Ridenhour.
