Mable Estelle Phillips, 83, of Jacksonville, NC died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville. Reverend April Alston will be officiating and the burial will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10:00 am at Onslow Memorial Park.
Ms. Mable was born in Cabarrus County, NC and was the daughter of the late James and Nonie Allman Petrea. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Billy G. Phillips and six siblings.
She is survived by one son, Billy G. Phillips and wife Cynthia of Mt. Pleasant, NC; four daughters, Sharon Walker and husband, David of Zebulon, NC, Pam Gayhart and husband Chuck of Swansboro, NC, Tina Bayard and husband sid of Mooresville, NC and Ramonia Gordon of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers, Gene Petrea of Deland, FL and Roy Petrea of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, Alma Hill of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Catherine Prevatte of Jacksonville, NC; eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
