SALISBURY - Ruth Morgan Ludwig, 91, of Salisbury, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 27, 1914, in Rowan County, Mrs. Ludwig was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Morgan and Edith Poole Morgan. A graduate of Rockwell High School, she was a lifelong member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She was a member of WELCA, St. Matthews Senior Citizens, Hazel Trexler Sunday School Class and was a former member of Liberty Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Ludwig was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Clifford G. Ludwig on Aug. 30, 1973; daughter Nancy Ludwig Stricker in 1995; and sisters Evelyn Morgan Cauble and Jean Morgan Connor.
Survivors include son Donald C. Ludwig and wife Beverly of Salisbury; brother Robert L. Morgan Jr., of Salisbury; grandchildren Brian Stricker and wife Carrie of Winston-Salem, Heather Ludwig Durham and husband Keith of Four Oaks, Amy Stricker Wallace and Tara Ludwig of Salisbury; and great-grandchildren Brandon Wallace, Cody Wallace, Trevor Wallace of Salisbury and Carlye Durham of Four Oaks.
Service: Funeral Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Matthews Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Gilmer Boggs, visitation pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation will be Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Powles Funeral Home.
